Selang hampir setahun setelah Samsung meluncurkan Galaxy Nexus pada Oktober 2011 lalu, kini Galaxy S III telah dirilis dengan membawa desain serupa ponsel Nexus generasi ketiga tersebut. Lalu apa sih bedanya?



Kedua perangkat ini menggunakan RAM 1GB dengan media penyimpanan 16GB. Di sisi lain, S3 punya pilihan model 32GB dan 64GB, sedangkan Nexus hanya 16GB. S3 juga memiliki layanan penyimpanan awan 50GB dari Dropbox selama dua tahun.



Untuk layar, keduanya menggunakan layar sentuh dengan resolusi 1.280x720. S3 memiliki layar yang sedikit lebih besar, yakni 4,8 inci sedangkan Nexus 4,65 inci dan keduanya menggunakan Super AMOLED HD berlapis kaca Gorilla Glass.

Untuk prosesor, S3 menggunakan quad core Exynos 4412 1,4GHz sedangkan Nexus menggunakan dual core TI OMAP4460 1,2GHz.



Dalam hal grafis, S3 jelas menang telak. Untuk kamera, S3 memiliki kamera 8MP dan Nexus 5MP dan keduanya mampu merekam video berkualitas HD.



Untuk baterai, S3 menang dari Nexus, yakni 1.750mAh lawan 2100mAh. Untuk konektivitas, keduanya menggunakan NFC namun S3 dilengkapi Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, USB serta A-GPS dan Glonass.

Dua smartphone Android kelas atas dari vendor bersebelahan (Korea dan Jepang) ini berusaha memprebutkan hati calon konsumennya lewat sederetan fitur canggih yang dimilikinya, kali ini Sony Xperia S  akan diperbandingkan dengan Galaxy S III yang konon katanya merupakan ponsel Android paling tangguh saat ini.

Samsung Galaxy S III memiliki kinerja yang lebih baik karena menggunakan prosessor dual core 1.4GHz, sementara Sony Xperia S hanya menggunakan prosessor dual core 1.5GHz. Keduanya ditenagai juga dengan RAM sebesar 1GB.



Samsung Galaxy S III memiliki layar yang lebih besar yakni berukuran 4.8 inci, sementara Sony Xperia S memiliki layar dengan ukuran 4.3 inci. Keduanya memiliki resolusi yang sama yakni sebesar 1280 x 720 piksel.



Sony Xperia S dilengkapi dengan kamera yang lebih baik yakni berkekuatan 12 megapiksel, sementara Samsung Galaxy S III hanya dilengkapi dengan kamera 8 megapiksel.



Untuk daya, Samsung Galaxy S III dilengkapi dengan baterai berkapasitas 2100mAh, sedangkan Sony Xperia S dilengkapi dengan baterai berkapasitas 1750mAh.



Samsung Galaxy S III hadir dengan fitur-fitur yang lebih super dibandingkan dengan Sony Xperia S. Dan tentu saja untuk mendapatkan Samsung Galaxy S III anda perlu merogoh kocek lebih dalam lagi. Sony Xperia S memiliki banderol harga diatas Rp5 Juta, sedangkan Samsung Galaxy S III diperkirakan akan dibanderol dengan harga diatas Rp7 Juta.
